The Support
A Luv for Haiti Disaster Response team arrived in Haiti within two days of the earthquake to assess damage and collaborate with our Haiti staff and other partners. That team’s assessment was used to start planning a multifaceted response to help families obtain secure, decent housing as soon as possible.
Given the scale of damage, Luv for Haiti anticipates a long-term, multiyear response. Long after most of the cameras have gone, Luv for Haiti will remain, helping to rebuild houses and hope with families in dire need of both.
In addition to other means of support Luv for Haiti is already sending more than 30,000 lbs. of relief supplies and focused to put families to work making immediate repairs and constructing temporary shelter. Such work helps morale, takes away the feeling of helplessness and brings shelter.
What you can do
Donate- both supplies and money are needed to help sustain the Haitian people in their time of need. Specific relief supplies are needed and we take 30,000 lbs of supplies every two months. These supplies are transported and delivered directly to Haiti, specifically to orphans.
